Last week I vacationed in Lake Placid, NY. Those of you who have visited are aware of the serene beauty of the lake, surrounded by the Adirondack mountains. The area is widely known as an paradise for the outdoorsman. I also believe there is no better escape for business people to clear their minds and deconstruct the challenges and opportunities they face.
Each morning, while suffering through the view seen at right, I invested time in myself, my family, and my career by contemplating goals, products, marketing campaigns, sales strategies and much more. I left full of ideas. The lesson I would like to share with you is not the Lake Placid is beautiful, but that we need peaceful time way to bring clarity to our thoughts and regain focus – for ourselves and our careers.
